Frequently Asked Questions

What does it mean that you’re a licensed homestead bakery?

Being a licensed homestead bakery means that my kitchen was inspected by the same representatives who inspect all of the local restaurants. Once I passed my inspection, I received my license from the State of New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS).  This gives you the, the customer, extra reassurance that I know food safety guidelines and am following the state laws regarding how to properly and safely operate a homestead bakery.

How much notice do you require for an order?

Ideally, 14 days. I know it’s not always possible and will do what I can do accommodate orders with less than 2 weeks notice. There may be an additional fee for orders with less than 14 days’ notice. This will be discussed prior to the order being placed.

I need a cake/cupcakes etc. for tomorrow, can you help?!

The quote looks good. I’d like to place my order! What do I do?

Yay! I can’t wait to work with you! Once you let me know you would like to order, I’ll email you an invoice. This will have all the information about your order on it. Make sure you check that everything on the invoice matches what has been discussed. That means I’ve put the correct flavors, colors, decorations etc. Don’t forget to double check the pickup/ delivery date and location! Next, you’ll pay your deposit to hold your date. A 50% non-refundable deposit is due upon receipt of your invoice. If the deposit is not paid within 72 hours, your invoice will be canceled and your date will no longer be reserved.  The remaining balance is due 2 weeks prior to your pickup date.

I paid my order in full, but now I need to cancel because of a family emergency, date change, illness etc.

If you have paid your order in full and need to cancel let’s talk. Depending on how close it is to your order pickup date, you may be eligible for a one time, complimentary reschedule, partial credit or partial refund. Orders that are canceled with 7 days notice or less will not be eligible for a refund or credit.
